This technique has several steps :<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Stage\u00a01<\/span>\u00a0:<\/strong>\u00a0Pellets drying<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hygroscopic materials need to be dried in a desiccator to remove the humidity. Once the pellets have been dried, they are ready for use.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Stage\u00a02<\/span>\u00a0:<\/strong>\u00a0Processing cycle<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The extruding machine is used to plastify and introduce the\u00a0\u00ab\u00a0<strong>melt\u00a0\u00bb<\/strong>\u00a0into a temperature regulated die.<br \/>\nOnce the extrusion phase is complete, the compression cycle can begin. The full processing cycle is recorded (time, temperature and pressure).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/en.aplast.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/SchemaAplastExtruderComprEN-3-1.gif\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2331\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2331\" src=\"http:\/\/en.aplast.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/SchemaAplastExtruderComprEN-3-1.gif\" alt=\"SchemaAplastExtruderComprEN-3\" width=\"850\" height=\"395\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Stage\u00a03<\/span>\u00a0:<\/strong>\u00a0Thermal treatment<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The final operation consists in a thermal treatments using a ventilated oven in order to eliminate the residual stresses from the moulding.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The thermal treatment has 3 phases\u00a0:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Temperature rise\u00a0<strong>(5\u00b0C\/hour)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>High temperature segment\u00a0<strong>(Variable depending on the thickness)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Temperature drop segment<strong> (3\u00b0C\/hour)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/en.aplast.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/TempSTAGES-AplastAnime2016okEN.gif\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2334\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2334\" src=\"http:\/\/en.aplast.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/TempSTAGES-AplastAnime2016okEN.gif\" alt=\"TempSTAGES-AplastAnime2016okEN\" width=\"850\" height=\"395\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The control of the time and temperature settings is essential.
