PolyMethylPentene is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic. PMP, also known as TPX, is transparent at room temperature and highly permeable to gas. It has a very low resistance to ultraviolets. PMP can be autoclaved at 135°C and can withstand 175°C for a short period (depending on the grade).
